San Mateo “Get Around” Senior Transportation Program

All rides must start or end in San Mateo. Included cities: San Mateo, Belmont, Burlingame, Foster City, Hillsborough, Redwood City, San Carlos, the Veteran’s Hospitals in Menlo Park and Palo Alto, and Stanford Affiliated Medical Offices in Palo Alto.
24 hours a day, 365 days a year
$5 for a one way cab ride
Participants can request wheelchair and scooter accessible cabs
Must be both a City of San Mateo resident and 60 years old or older. Participants must be registered for the program before they can receive the discounted rates.
None, limited to 8 one-way cab trips per month.
Within about one week of registering for the program the senior participant will receive a membership card in the mail. (Cards will be mailed to home addresses only). After registering online or at the Senior Center, participants will call the cab company directly and schedule a ride. Rides can be on demand or they can be preplanned and scheduled in advance.
